Bertoldi Luca, nato a Trento nel 1982, nel 2007 ha conseguito la laurea magistrale in Scienze Geologiche (Università degli Studi di Padova) presentando gli studi condotti lungo il bordo meridionale del Gruppo Vulcanico Atesino, nel 2011 ha ottenuto il titolo di dottore di ricerca in Scienze della Terra (Università degli Studi di Padova, 2011), presentando una tesi in fotogrammetria, telerilevamento e spettroscopia.

Negli ultimi anni ha quindi maturato diverse esperienze di ricerca e lavorative nei campi della petrografia, vulcanologia, spettroscopia, GIS (Geographic Information System), rilevamento geologico e telerilevamento applicato ad immagini satellitari ed aeree, pubblicando i risultati su riviste internazionali e nazionali e partecipando a numerose spedizioni di ricerca (Nepal, Marocco, Georgia, Islanda). Ha collaborato con Everest-K2 CNR (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche), NAST (Nepal Academy of Science and Technology), Università di Pisa, Università di Bologna, Università di Milano Bicocca, Univesità Cà Foscari (Venezia), Reykjavik University (IS) e University of Bern (CH), University of Georgia (Tbilisi), Cadi Ayyad University (Marrakech – Morocco).

Attualmente è docente a contratto presso l’Università degli Studi di Padova, dove insegna Geomatica e Telerilevamento al corso di laurea magistrale in Geologia e Geologia Tecnica ed è socio fondatore di Chartagena Srl, società di fotogrammetria e telerilevamento nell’ambito della quale cura la pianificazione, l’esecuzione e l’elaborazione di fotografie aeree a bassa quota.
